Faisal Karimi handles most of our oven repair work. He is particularly strong on Hitachi's newer fan oven models with digital controls — the ones where the symptom and the actual fault are often two different things. An oven that seems to have a heating problem can actually have a temperature sensor issue that makes the thermostat behave incorrectly. Getting that distinction right saves you money.

We work on all Hitachi oven types: built-in electric ovens, freestanding cookers, steam ovens, and combination microwave-ovens. We carry heating elements, fan motors, thermostats, door hinges and seals, timer modules, and control board components for the most common UAE market models.

Common Faults We Fix

Hitachi Oven Problems We Diagnose and Repair

Most oven faults feel serious but come down to a specific component. Here is what we typically find.

Oven Not Heating Up

The oven appears to run — display is on, fan turns — but it does not get hot. Most likely cause: the bake element (lower heating element) has burned out. It usually shows a visible break or scorch mark. We carry elements for the most common Hitachi UAE models and can replace it on the spot.

Temperature Completely Wrong

Set it to 180°C, food burns at that temperature. Or it never gets hot enough. This is almost always a faulty temperature sensor — it is sending wrong data to the control board, so the thermostat cannot regulate properly. Sensor replacement is usually straightforward and far cheaper than replacing the board.

Uneven Cooking (One Side Burns)

Baked goods brown heavily on one side and stay pale on the other. In a fan oven, this almost always means the fan motor is running slow or intermittently — not circulating heat evenly. In non-fan ovens it suggests one of the dual elements has failed. We test the fan speed before recommending parts.

Grill Not Working

The grill function does not brown or toast. The top heating element has burned out — visible as a break in the element wire. Grill element replacement is one of the most straightforward oven repairs and usually takes under an hour on site. We carry elements for common Hitachi models.

Fan Not Running

A fan oven without a working fan cooks unevenly and much more slowly. The fan motor bearings seize over time, particularly in ovens used daily. We replace the full fan motor assembly — not just the blade — so the fix is proper and not just a patch.

Control Panel Not Responding

Buttons that do not work, a display that has gone dark, or specific functions that stopped responding. Could be the membrane keypad (the button layer) or the main PCB. We check the keypad first since replacing it costs much less than a full board. We only recommend the board if the keypad tests fine.

Door Not Sealing / Hinge Fault

A loose oven door lets heat escape and can burn anyone nearby. Hitachi oven door hinges wear over time, especially in busy households. We replace hinges and door seals and realign the door where needed. After any door repair we test the seal under load before finishing.

Timer or Clock Fault

A timer that gets stuck, counts incorrectly, or prevents the oven from completing its cooking cycle. On electronic models the timer is integrated with the control board; on older models it is a separate mechanical unit. We identify which type you have and source the right replacement.

FAQ

Oven Repair Questions

Common questions about Hitachi oven and cooking appliance repairs.

Ask Us

If the display works and the fan runs but there is no heat, the bake element is the most likely culprit — it is the single most common failure in electric ovens. If nothing at all works when you turn it on (no fan, no heat, but display is on), it is probably a thermal fuse — a safety device that trips when the oven overheats. Both are diagnosable on site.

Yes. An oven that consistently runs hotter than set is almost always a temperature sensor fault. The sensor reads lower than actual temperature, so the thermostat keeps heating to reach the "target" and overshoots badly. Replacing the sensor corrects this and is usually a quick repair. We carry sensors for common Hitachi oven models.

A brief burning smell when an oven has not been used for a while is normal — just dust burning off. If it persists, it could be a failing element that is arcing, grease on the element, or a wiring issue. If you see sparking or scorch marks inside the cavity, turn the oven off at the mains and call us before using it again.

Yes. Combination units have faults on both the microwave side (magnetron, capacitor) and the oven side (element, fan). We work on both. The magnetron and capacitor hold a dangerous electrical charge that requires safe discharge before any work — we handle this correctly and do not rush it.

Hitachi ovens are generally well-built and most element, sensor, and fan repairs are worth doing on a machine that is otherwise in good shape. The main exception is a failing control board on an older discontinued model — if we cannot source the board or the cost is too high relative to the oven's value, we will tell you that honestly rather than proceed.
